Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026. This summary describes how BuddyAI handles personal data.
Who is responsible
For our customers' end users, our customer (the company that embeds BuddyAI) is the data controller and BuddyAI acts as its processor. For customer accounts on our dashboard, BuddyAI is the controller. Contact: hello@getbuddyai.com.
What we collect
- Account data: name, email, workspace and billing status.
- Widget data on behalf of customers: chat messages, page views, clicks, and errors or failed requests users hit. We do not capture request or response bodies. Emails and tokens are redacted from error messages.
- Optional end-user identifiers supplied by the customer (such as email or name).
How we use it
To provide the service (answering questions, guiding users, showing product-health insights), to secure and improve it, and to bill customers. We do not sell personal data.
Service providers
Hosting (AWS), database and authentication (Supabase), payments (Dodo Payments), and AI model providers used to generate answers. They process data only to provide their service to us.
Retention and deletion
We keep data while the account is active. Customers can ask us to delete a workspace's data, or an individual end user's data, at any time by emailing hello@getbuddyai.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data. Email us and we will respond promptly. See also our security page.
